The Purpose of an Arya Samaj Mandir in Jaunpur

An Arya Samaj Mandir in Jaunpur is one of the most important temples for Hindus in the state of India. It is located at a distance of three kilometers from the center of Jaunpur and is visited by a large number of visitors all through the year. In this article, we will discuss the purpose of this particular temple and its close connection with Jaunpur.

The Mandir has three columns and a gate leading to it, which is surrounded by two smaller gates. It is located in the middle of the main street in front of Jai Mistryal Temple and is a hundred meters away from the temple. The name of the Mandir is a translation of the original name of the Hindu goddess "Pranit" which is identified with the region of Mandwa in West Bengal, India. "Pranit" is also identified with the word "Pran" which means "praised".

This temple was constructed during the reign of Emperor Ashoka the first who came to Jaunpur to establish a kingdom there. It is believed that he built this temple for the support of his soldiers who were facing difficulties in the field. It is believed that the soldiers had been greatly weakened due to a lack of water and food. After his death, his son Machado came to power and the capital was shifted to Jaunpur from Delhi. The Arya SamajMandir in Jaunpur was constructed by his daughter Shwetamaniya and has since then served the community of Hindus in Jaunpur and adjoining regions.
